No error when installing? or opening an image
@ no rundll.exe, odd. try uninstalling / reinstalling it, or copying rundll.exe form windows into the windows\gif folder
uninstalled and re installed. no error while installing. jpgs opening but same problem for gif.
can't find rundll.exe in windows also
copy the rundll form windows into the windows\gif folder, right click, properties, compatibility, windowx xp, ok
The installer should do this for you with 'FileInstall("rundll32.exe",$path&"\rundll32.exe",1)'
Actually, I thought I changed that to 'Filecopy("%windir%\rundll32.exe",$path&"\rundll32.exe",1)' so it would just copy it. Anyways, copying it into the windows\gif folder and changing the compatibility should work. Let me know
Thanks for the re-write of the original coder's program. But is there a reason as to why an animated gif that plays at normal speed in IE is slow in his/your programs, in regular or slideshow view mode?
So I've got this installed and running great (thanks a ton!), but had a question:
Gifs are now animated, but only if I tell Windows to open it with "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer", not "Windows Photo Viewer". No problem, I just made that the default program. However, my end goal is to have one photo viewer for common image types (jpeg, png, etc.) and I can't seem to assign "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" as the default program for non-gif images. If I choose "open with" on a jpeg or png, Picture and Fax Viewer isn't an option, only Photo Viewer.
Any ideas?
Thanks again!
It should be possible, sure. Next time I feel in the mood for some code I'll add a window to select what kinds of images to associate with it
This is what you need. DND Photo Viewer, was written specially for viewing GIF, but you can use it quite that same as Windows Default Photo Viewer.
