Ahh. I know what you mean, Windows Picture and Fax Viewer (getting really good at typing that) in XP moved the page up and down when you scrolled. Win 7 + it zooms in or out, which seems counter intuitive. Why they didn't make scroll move it up and down, alt+scroll move it left and right, and ctrl+scroll zoom in and out is beyond me
This will behave exactly like windows XP's image viewer did, so yes. It should be what you're looking for
[QUOTE=Bongo;2530292]Pet peeve: When software installs unwanted add-ons by default.
If I wanted it, I would install it myself: no java I do NOT want ask toolbar. If I ever design a web browser I will make it impossible for external programs to install additional crap without explicit permission.
And if you want to distribute something with your software, don't make it included by default. People who write their installers with spamware that install by default should be shot
grr..
Finally, someone besides me gets it!! It's been beyond me too!! Thank you!!!!!!
Sooo, is it ready or are you still polishing it up?
Corgano, I installed your program, and on trying to open a .gif, I got an error
"Error lodaing C:\Windows\gif\shimgvw.dll
A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed"
Can you advise, please?
don't hold your breath brlasonny913, corgano doesn't visit very often.
Thanks, Grits. I found and installed another program that is working. If Corgano answers, it will still be interesting to see what might have been the problem, but it's not as critical now.
I'm not sure if anyone has suggested this application yet, as this thread is 16 pages long and counting. And it's way too early on a Sunday morning to wade through all the replies.
But, if it has not yet been mentioned, I think that Irfanview -- a free application -- is a great photo viewer for all kinds of file extensions. It does a great job in displaying animated gifs.
Welcome to Seven Forum Reckless1. Irfan View was suggested but I installed this, animated gifs and windows photo viewer and works well.
Another good one, which I don't use is, Windows 7 Gif Viewer
Both are seamless and will display animated gifs easily. :)
