    Editing a cd

Hello, I have an artists cd that I like, but 5 of the songs have a musical part at the beginning of each song that I would like to eliminate. Each "musical part" shows as part of the next song, so I can't just skip over it. I need some kind of editor to delete those parts and then save the final piece. I'll then transfer the final product to a USB stick. OR, if it's easier, how to edit the USB stick. Any ideas or software you can think of, thanks.
The artist plays about 1.5 minute of rambling instrumentation, then gets into some good jamming music -- and there is a brief interlude between the rambling and the good stuff. The album is Billy Cobham "Spectrum". fusion jazz

Either Audacity or Nero Wave Editor will work beautifully for this purpose.

    Download Nero Wave Editor 14.0.0020 - FileHippo.com

Thanks OvenMaster -- I tried the Audacity program and got way too much obnoxious junk advertising with it (even though I tried to avoid it). So I went to the Nero program. Wow, extremely easy to use and accomplish exactly what I wanted. Thanks. I didn't have to convert the wma to wav or anything. It's been transferred to USB and works in my vehicle, which is what I wanted. Perfect solution. Thanks.
