    Video thumbnail problems

I installed thumbnailer lite to try and get thumbnails for .mkv files. I didn't like the program so I uninstalled it. Now my .avi files don't have thumbnails either. Help please.

    Hello Chaoz,

Double check in Default Programs to make sure that Windows Media Player is set as the default program with all of it's associations (ex: avi) set to it as well.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Ok. Double check to make sure that thumbnail previews is turned on.

If it is turned on, then download and merge the AVI file in the link below. It will restore all of the default associations and settings for AVI file types.

The second method worked, thanks. Is there a way to do the same thing for mp4 files?

You're welcom Chaoz. I'm happy to hear it. I have added MP4 to that list as well now for you. :)
