convert a jpg file to a video

it seems some how a file that use to be a video file has now been changed to a jpg anyone now why or how to fix this .

Hi,
If you remember what the extension was originally
Right click the file and select properties and on the General section add .wmv to the end of the name or what ever the file type was .avi/.....

Malware might do stuff like that :/

JPEG, MPEG-4 just found the specs still a bit confused what do i change in the properties please.

This may help ...

.MP4 was the original video format, if it's just the extension that's been changed from MP4 to JPG then simply changing back should give a file playable in a suitable application

to do this manually right click on the file - select rename and edit the .jpg to .mp4

One such is the free VLC media player, ( VideoLAN - Download official VLC media player for Windows ), that plays 99% of video formats out of the box, without the hassle of adding codecs that you can get with things like Microsoft's Media player and similar

Hi
On the General section and the top portion
Just click the end of the existing name and add .mp4 to it no space between the name and the .
Apply and Okay on the bottom.
