    how do I get the codecs required, to open mpeg video files using windows media player 9.

    See whether they open at all or whether they are corrupted - try VLC

    Many thanks for all helpful replies. When I did a right click to delete the said files, I discovered that they were blank. Now got the VLC player so all should be good.

Hello ... after a loong winter. In my movies library I have several in mpeg (m2v + mp2 muxed) and ripped DVD (VIDEO-TS folder). When I load them from within 7mc the program crashes and a window error displays "Windows Media Center Stopped working...." I have installed Shark007 codec pack...
No thumbnails on MPEG-2 files on Win 7

The trouble is: all video files have thumbnails except MPEG-2 vide files.... MPEG-1 is OK... Latest K-Lite Mega Codec Pack installed... Any help
