    Confused about pictures

Hi. Has anyone have the number of a picture changed? Some of my pictures not only have their regular number but they also have a number that begins with a B000etc. What this means that ie I have a scan that is not only scan0001 but this same scan has a B000000 number.

I have a lot of pictures that now have a B number. For me to go through my pictures would be hard...searching through all pictures twice.

I have asked this question many times and one person has replied..I was told it was either malware or some programs for graphics may have changed names.

Does anyone have a suggestion? As usual thank you.

    Hi,
    I have no idea,
    Could be a scanner deal
    Show your installed programs
Click Start and control panel and uninstall a program
On the top right next to the question mark switch the page view to List
take a screen shot should all fit on one.

See the links above my signature if you need help with taking or upload screen shots here.

Might be something to do with Adobe Photoshop Elements backup/ restore.

The full backup and each incremental backup you may do contain all of your pictures and all of the information regarding each picture, such as tags, categories, etc. In other words it contains everything you need to total reconstruct your Catalog when you do the Restore command. When you look at the backup folder on your external drive, you will see your all of your full resolution pictures, but they will all have been renamed as part of the backup process. Their file names start with a "B", beginning with B000000, B000001, B000002, etc

I have put my question as solved. Both of you have given me some good ideas. I am glad I belong to Windows 7 forum. It is great to have some place and especially to have people help me. Thank you both so very much.
