also, I may want to add that it's also messing up/hanging when music files are played, with any file extension...
alright, so I had a dumbass moment. Instead of originally disabling the three items in "services," i simply stopped them. I also didn't see the part about disabling the sptd file, so I did. I'll continue testing it and see where it goes...
Alright, so I had a dumbass moment. Instead of "disabling" the services, I simply "stopped" them, thinking it was the same until I saw the option under properties, so I did that. Also, apparently I didn't catch the part about disabling sptd, and did that as well. I'll continue testing it out and seeing where it goes from here. Thanks
Ok, unfortunately it works, but not when it comes out of sleeping, only after restarting...
Two potential fixes for that are to update the bios and to update the chipset drivers, if any are available.
Awesome, what would be the best way to go about doing this?
Visit the motherboard manufacturer's website. Use CPU-Z mainboard tab if you don't know which you have.
You could also check HP's site, but motherboard site will probably be the better option here.
Here's a bios update (but there are submodels - make sure this is correct for yours)
and like I said, check the motherboard website (or Intel's site) for chipset drivers.
