Windows Media Player playing slow or not at all when it shouldnt be

My Windows Media Player used to play videos flawlessly, but then just recently it has stopped playing those same videos slowly or not at all. And before you ask, yes I have it at normal speed in playback options. This is very annoying because I need to watch back my videos as I upload some to YouTube or other things.

Easiest things first. Have you tried a system restore to a point before this started? Have you installed any new programs? Have you tried running a system file check? Have you tried any of our tutorial fixes? Hard to help with so little information. Here's a few links to start you out :

As far as i know, videos may depend on the original video creation &or download.

Some video may not done properly, hence it may encountered a bit of issue, as you may not aware of it.

If this happen for all videos, then you may need to see if there is updates.

I use VLC player, so far it do not give any such problem as you mentioned.

It sometimes certain video would became such problem, as you mentioned.
But if i download from another source, the video is perfect.
That is only one part of the video being not done properly.

As for any others, i am not so sure, as i do not use media player, if you are not referring to VLC.

Windows media player may not play properly due to music copywrites issue, not all but some.
