Windows Media Player 12 Keeps freezing and linking to my pictures

    Me too mate it is very boring being stuck like this and if it were not for this laptop I would go stir crazy.

    "In the meantime can you run the SFC and chkdsk again please in safe mode nad use the /r switch in the chkdsk

    You have me a little confused can you please clarify how to do the above procedures

    Ok those scans are best done in safe mode because that will only load the essential Windows files so just tap F8 when powering up to get to that.

    Then it is just a matter of following these
    SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
    Disk Check < if necessary include the /r switch – you can leave out the /r switch in ckdsk if you feel it not necessary.
    The /r switch is a command that repairs if it can any files it finds that are corrupt or out of place it describes the switch actions in the tutorial.


    Basically these scans are run from a command prompt and you just need to do that as the admin and to do that you need to go to Start > type "cmd" (without quotes) right click on the little box with cmd in it - it also has a little icon that looks like the command prompt window - that will take you to the command prompt itself then it is just a matter of typing exactly what is in the tutorial.
