Thanks ICIT2LOL. In reply to your response, I get nothing!! That error comes up immediately, so there's not much to tell. All I can offer is a screenshot. Also I am about to try the link you sent.

    Thanks very much,

    Ken

Ok Ken try that because the fellow who does those videos is very good I have used his tutorials on many occasions.
You could run these too mate on the off chance the chkdsk might fix the issue
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker - Windows 7 Help Forums
Disk Check - Windows 7 Help Forums < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2
(the sfc is often said to be best run for three runs)

if no change then try these

SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
    Malwarebytes | Malwarebytes Premium
    AdwCleaner Download
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
NB If anyone who has Kaspersky as their security they may find it will not like ADW running and to stop the nagging just temporarily disbale the Kaspersky while one runs ADW

    Check Shell Folder values.

    Use registry editor

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

    Defaults are:

If any difference in yours and it could be the problem. If you make changes a reboot is required to see if it got fixed.
