Find damaged images

Hi,

this week I've found that one (or more) images in my picture "library" is damaged.
I store all my pictures mostly on external drives.
Last time I opened some pictures with irfanview, there I saw that one of them is damaged,
means that starting from one line in the image all pixels are grey.

Luckily I store all my images on more than one drive, so I could restore them.

The question is now, how do I find all these damaged images on my drives so that I can try to fix this?
Is there a tool, that I can scan my drives with to find them?

Are the damaged files that you have found so far on one particular drive?

If the files in question have been corrupted then at least your research will be confined to just one drive. Have you scanned the one known drive fot malware? I would disconnect the other hard drives first. I can't see a positive answer to your main question

I have never come across a tool that would do that but there may be if we can define the actual problem or program that is causing the problem.
Just as an afterthought, can you try another monitor, just in case!!!! Or have you a graphics card fitted, if so try the monitor plugged into the on board connector!
It would help us to help you if we had your full System Specs. Please complete yours following this:

No it is not maleware and also not the monitor/graphic card ...it is simply a corrupted/damaged image.
