    I can now play video files recorded in ubuntu kaffeine TV shows, extension m2t on windows media player.
    After a reboot.

    Anything negative about using this download?

    The installer said I can now play 95% of all video formats.

    Too many, firstly when you install codecs there is a high risk you mess your system, secondly there are well known players that let you play all videos and without messing with your OS.
