WMC plays live TV but will not record one station saying "No signal"

Until June 1st our local CBS affiliate (Portland KOIN TV Ch. 6) appeared live on my PC via WMC and recorded well. Effective June 1st, Ch. 6 required a new scan as the station changed frequencies. Now the station appears live but when asked to record this one station WMC says no signal received. Obviously WMC is receiving the signal. Why will it not record?

Hi B73XP46R85, welcome to Seven Forums,

I live in the UK but I had a thought. Have they since the 1st of June 2018 encrypted the channel which will obviously make a difference?

    I hope this helps!

Perhaps you could share the solution with this forum so as other people coming across this thread with the same problem can benefit.

    Thanks in advance.

When I marked my issue as "solved" I also added commentary, but I now see that the commentary does not appear here. I don't what happened. In any case, my commentary was basically that the issue seemingly resolved itself. When the problem first surfaced I rebooted my pc, I re-setup WMC, I re-scanned channels. Nothing worked for a couple of weeks. Then, all of a sudden, the issue was resolved and the channel started to perform my automatic recordings. Don't know the cause. Don't know the cure. I'm just thankful and not looking whatever gift horse in the mouth. Thank you for your interest.
