Youtube plays 720p windows 7 vs 1080p windows 8.1 IE11

    Youtube plays 720p windows 7 vs 1080p windows 8.1 IE11


    I hope im posting in the right place but I've noticed i can only get 720p on youtube, but windows 8.1 allows higher resolutions, 1080p and even 1440. Is there a codec i can add to windows 7 to get 1080P?

    I tried a video and I got the same thing. On IE I got 720p but on Firefox I got 1080p. I didn't try in 8.1. You might want to see these links.
