    Stopping Auto Installs

I use a Walkman (I know, I'm old fashioned) and I tend to plug it into my computer, not to just install music, but also as a method of recharging it. Trouble is, as soon as I plug my Walkman into the USB socket the computer takes it upon itself to auto install all the music tracks that I have in my computer's music files without my permission. Is there any way to stop my computer from doing this?

I'm older fashioned than you. As I remember, Walkman was a Sony device with mini tape.
As you're talking about recharging and connect to a computer, that is definitely not the Walkman I know.
Did you install any software to mange your Walkman?

No, no extra software installed. This is what I have.

As far as I'm aware there's no inner disk. It's more like a big memory stick with a digital screen. You also just drag and drop the music from the computer to the Walkman. No special programs required for transfer. However, the PC tends to do auto transfer as soon as it detects it.
