How a 29 frame rate video when converted to h264,mp3 format becomes va

Hi, i do not know how this happens.
what i am doing wrong
i use vlc media player to convert to play in my video which supported format.
when i convert a video of 29 fps, to the above format, it convert and when i open in vlc, it shows 1062.22 as codec information.
when i play it in my tv, i get media not supported error
when i check the file with media infor software in text mode, it shows variable frame rate of 29 to 1000 fps as variable frame rate
Am i miss something
what is wrong

Are you talking about a video with 29.97 fps?

What is the format of the original video?

Do you live in a region which supports NTSC? If not, then the TV probably supports PAL and you should convert to that.
