    Anyone Familar With Photoshop 7.0?

Yes, I know... In computer timelines, Photoshop 7 is from before the Dinosaurs died off, but I have it and need to use it for something I would imagine is possible. My girlfriend gave me this program for our anniversary in 2002, and unfortunately I found it to be too complicated for my taste, and it sat on my computer unused for ages. I installed it on this computer a few years ago when a friend of one of my kids offered to teach me how to use it. He taught me how to create 3D text, as that was the first thing that I wanted to learn. But his Dad was in the Coast Guard and was transferred, so they moved. Which for my kids that was sad that they lost their friend, but for me, just that I got no more PS7 lessons...

So if anyone does happen to be familiar with PS7, I am trying to figure out how to paste an image with a transparent background into an image, and use "Stroke" to put a border on the transparency. The Stroke part I figured out, and how to "Move" (as opposed to "Copy") an image into another one, but I see no options to move an image with a transparent background.

I can do sort of the same thing using Copy, Paste and Drop Shadow in Paint Shop Pro 5, the image editor I have been using for over 20 years, but in PS7 the process is nowhere near the same. To do it in PSP5 takes awhile in one image, and makes it rather time consuming when dealing with multiple images.

Anyone have any idea how to do this? The almighty Google hasn't been helpful at all...

I tried that, but none of the videos that pop up are for PS7, but the latest versions which may or most likely are talking about things PS7 can't do. However, I just found a copy of a user guide book for PS CS2 at my local bookstore today that has a copy of PS CS2 in it. So while that isn't all that much newer than PS7, it is newer. And after looking through that book I think that my problem is I have not been looking for the right things. PS doesn't call what I want to do a copy / paste operation, it's a more like a "move an image into another image and play with the layers" kind of thing. So maybe by reading this book I'll learn a few things...

Yep, and I'll check that one out too. Even though a lot of the videos I'm watching are for the latest versions, what I am looking for seems to have been around since before PS7 or CS2, which is just a different name for PS9.

So I'm going to call this "solved"...

    Thanks!
