    video editing program help!


    it does not matter what program i try windows live movie maker, cyberlink powerdirector 7 and 8 when i preview the movie in the program it does not preview proberly it skips and than freezes i need help as i am startiing to hate windows 7 over this i dont know that because i use a 64 bit version if that helps.

    anyone please help me i am considering going back to vista or xp.

    I'm guessing you have your sound and graphics drivers up to date, so do you use any codec packs? If yes, which one? Which renderer do you use for playback on your system? And what exactly are the original files, VOBs or already compressed files like h264, DivX, XviD etc.

    I too would look at the codec pack first. I use Windows 7 Codec Pack and am very happy with it.
