    BLURAY playback on Windows 7

Anyone managed to play back bluray discs on Windows 7.

I have today tried two seperate bluray playback apps but neither will play my disc.

Yep! You are 100% right. I thought it was something I screwed up on my machine but since intalling version 7057 X64 No more Blue Ray playback. I was able to play it on earlier builds. Maybe,,,no, hopefully they will sort this out as it is a very integral part of my media center system.

Forgot to mention that I have and was able to use Cyberlink's Power DVD Bluray edition before upgrading to 7057 which has killed all BluRay playback at least on my machine.

    Thanks for the response.

Fingers crossed 7068 will fix this.

edit. I thought 7068 might appear soon but looks like the torrent has been removed. I am downloading 7000 x64 so I can watch my movie tomorrow. I will report my progress.

I have Blu Ray playback working with Nero Showtime, can not get Media Center to work though.

Nero 8 is the version I am using with the Blu Ray plug in.

    Cheers!

    Using build 7057 x64...

Blu Ray worked for me on 7048, 7057 and 7068 (X-64)

I'm using the software that came with my player LG BD REwriter and HD-DVD-ROM drive solution.
This includs the proper version of PowerDVD for this and works just fine.

Player is an LG BD device (re-writer).

    Cheers

    So I downloaded 7068 x64.

I was running x32 before so couldn't install from hard disk like usual. I installed my copy of Vista x64. Installed Cyberlink and watched the movie.

Next day I installed 7068 and went to test the Bluray app - same problem. I get a message saying my graphics driver is incompatible!

did you update PowerDVD to the latest version after performing the upgrade to Win7?

PowerDVD 9 integrates into WMC so that when you try to play the Bluray in WMC it forks a process over to PowerDVD to play the Bluray.

I updated PowerDVD and now it works again. Thanks.

Should have been first thing I did but I downloaded an update from Cyberlink just a few weeks ago and used that. They must have updated again since.

    Cheers
