I would do that differently. I would convert the .wav file to .mp3 (only 10% size) with Format Factory. Then I would put a .wav header on the .mp3 file - that makes it appear like a .wav and can be used e.g. in PowerPoint picture shows. Here is how to finagle the header: PowerPoint Embed mp3 files Cannot beat the 10% size with compression.
That sounds interesting. You still need the mp3 codec to play it, right?

Hello. I want to add a compressed file(preferably free so I choose 7zip...) to my external HD, I am not sure right now whether I just want to "store" or "compress".
I wonder if there are any risks of file corruptions on my external HD.
Does compressing increase the risk? Based on my...
I am interested in uploading video's to YouTube with footage of gaming. However the .avi file is too large.
Has anyone got any suggestions for a good piece of software that will reduce the filesize without reducing the quality?
Can anyone provide me with a link to or a step by step tutorial on how to compress 6GB to max 4GB?
I've seen it been done with pc game files: you download a 3GB .rar file and unpack it to become a 6GB size folder. I want learn how to do this so that I can back my pc games.
Thanx ahead, guys....

the files on their own are 25MB
the compressed file is only 24.8MB
a saving if 200kb is not really worth it.
is there anyway I can make it a lot...
