    Library View

I can't seem to get this view straight on the Windows Media Player ( 12 ) that came with Win 7. I don't want to see any album art column but it wont let me deselct that in the column menu.

Also, I try to organize by the title and it shows a letter and a line to seperate songs by letter, how do I get rid of that?

I just found this possible solution if you want to try.

Remove Album Art completely from Media Player 12 :

    1) You may click on View(WMP12),

    2) Choose Columns.

    3) Uncheck the Album Art box and you're done.

Before performing this operation enable windows to show hidden files by:

    1) open Computer,

    2) click on Tools located on the top toolbar,

    3) then Folder Options.

    4) Then click on the View Tab, then look for the item that says Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and check this option.

Here is where the cache is located. Locate and delete.

Windows 7 Media Center has its own album art cache, where it saves album art thumbnails (the Windows 7-cache):

    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\eHome\Art Cache
    (with the corresponding "USERNAME").

Everytime I re-open WMP 12 it re-creates the Art Cache folder. And I still can't de-select the album art column in the choose column thing.

The whole view of wmp12 is awful. The letters and lines segregating everything is honorable looking.

Any players out there better then this?

    I solved my problem.
I deleted album art & folder.jpg from the music folders and used tagscanner to delete cover art.
Then from windows media player click on 'apply media information changes' and restart media player.
