    Sony firewire capture problems

Hi Gang...New to this forum. I have a new Win 7 installation and I capture video via firewire in one of 2 ways. either a Sony DVMC-DA2 media converter or a Sony tr7000 video camera. In both cases, if I boot cold or do a warm reboot, the hardware is recognized by my system. If I close any software that's using either piece and then try to use it again later, I have to reboot before my system can see it again for what it is. My question is why is this and how do I solve it? Thanks!

Try updating your Sony drivers & software from here:

Thanks for the comeback. There are no drivers for my camera, but the odd thing is I can use it once on a cold or warm reboot, but not after. I hear a signal when I turn it on or off a second time, but it fails to show up in any recognizable way. Reboot and I'm back in business. Odd!
