none of that, seriously. share this pc with my wife and all media is on its own drive.

dvd rips of my collection (cause i got little ones who like to spin the disc in the case... no matter how much the wife and i tell them to stop, we still end up with unplayable dvds. gotta preserve them somehow...)

now, my pc in the garage... i only have access to this one...
    Mine is:
    76gig music
    350gig Movies
    478gig Series
    150gig Music Vids
    189gig Pics

mpcrsc562, can you please tell me which program you use for a decent DVD rip, can't seem to find one, which is FREE of course

Have about 75 dvd I would like to Rip and put the actual dvd in a save place.
DVDFab is great for makingthe ISO images, and HandBrake 0.93 for DivX conversions.

Handbrake 0.94 is available in x64, but they dropped support for DivX/xVid. I'm still trying to find an acceptable freeware alternative.
Thanks, will give that a try

I have about 25 gig on my computer. But looking at some of the numbers from you guys, I can clearly see I am close to the bottom of the totem pole.

What is this thread about ? Are you asking how many GBs of music we have?
Why is your title asking about memory ??

    CD's or Downloaded?
    Who cares?

How 'bout a poll on the size of your porn folder?
Both, CD's and downloads. Amazon has some decent collections on sale for a few bucks every now and then.

I am a digital packrat (I usually don't delete anything) and accumulated over 1TB of random porn vids and pics. I deleted almost all of it since I was running out of space.

here is from a few months ago,

    deleted a bit,

And here it is today. Btw, my J Drive died a little after that pic was taken.
MAN! I would LOVE to have that much hard drive space. I only have about 200 GB total here.

Luckily most of the posters seem to have enough intellectual capacity to understand what OP means.

Seven forums has members from all around of the world, from every ethnic and cultural background, with different education and language. If the moderators started to screen the posts, to allow only those posts where the used language and terms are perfect and absolutely correct, there would not be many posts to read here.

Some of us are used to different terminology. Newbies mix terms and meaning of them. For some of us, quite many in fact, English is a foreign language. But we are trying our best.

If your post was meant to be a joke, it was a really bad one. Personally, I find that kind of posting unnecessary.

    Very sincerely, Kari
