LEGAL Free Audio books (not torrented)

Hi there

I tend to LIKE listening to Audio books when driving a car or sitting in a train -- listening to endless music can be a real drag sometimes whatever your choice of music -- and a good audio book with an interesting plot can often make a long journey seem a LOT quicker.

Anyway this is a great source for FREE Public domain audio books -- in passable sound quality as well --64 / 128 mp3 and OGG formats

I love audio books, thanks for the link. I see you can also contribute works yourself, not sure about the copyright issues regarding this ie would it be ok to read Harry Potter books and upload them.

I used LibriVox last year when I couldn't be bothered to buy or read War of the Worlds by HG Wells. The only thing I found annoying was the constant misspronunciation of the word Woking (a town I know very well), it should be pronounced Wo (as in woke, not as in flock) and the king. I must admit because it's free I'm not that bothered about it. There is also a free iPhone app which can stream the entire library over WiFi, 3G or if you really want Edge.
