Encrypted DVD ripper (Windows 7)

Hi all
I've been using RipItMe (free) - but I get some weird errors with the latest bunch of encrypted DVD's (not Blu Ray) on W7 X-64.

It issues a slew of warning messages at the end of a Rip before calling the Decrypter and DVD shrink.

It doesn't seem to effect the final outcome but the prompts are annoying -- I like to run this seamlessly in the background.

It runs FINE on XP / W2K3 server Virtual Machine - so long as I turn off the video preview in the final DVD backup after calling DVDshrink to get the dual layer data to compress down to a single layer disc.

Any other FREE ripper that I can use to replace RipItFree -- was a great program but unfortunately no longer being maintained.

RipIt4Me Download - Softpedia

Please note I use this exclusively for copying my DVD's to an external USB drive so I can take a single HDD on my travels instead of a shedful of DVD's. This is for my own use entirely -- no "Illegal Pirating" activity intended by using this program.

I see NOTHING WRONG in making convenient portable backups of data / content I've legally PAID FOR.

Cheers
jimbo

I use DVD Fab decrypter, along with FixVTS and DVD Shrink. It's pretty much never failed me. I use it to rip my Netflix movies to rewriteable DVD's to then watch when convenient for me and then I simply record back over them. I'm not into movie collecting and I rarely watch a movie twice.

I use DVD43 + Handbrake for burning my DVD's to iPod format for plane rides, although you can put it in pretty much any format you want.

I've got the same issue with DVD Decripter, at the end about six pop-up windows messages...It does either not effect the videos playback...

By the way,
At the install of DVD Decripter it asked for ASPI32/WNASPI.DLL...needed.
I have install the Aspi32 Adaptec then reinstall Dvd Decripter in compatibility mode.

Could it be something to do with the UAC?
