After all, codecs add/modify many files and registry keys and I don't think you want that to be done by any unknown source.
Respectfully, again I have to disagree here. I have had so many problems with Shark Codes and I know I am steping on some toes because he posts here. But Shark Codecs so far has been one of the worst. With that said I guess now I will be obligated to test it again and post the issues I have had with it in the Shark Codec area, so he as every chance to fix them. :)
That is good. I think Shark is always open to suggestions and will be glad to correct any problems. At least here you have somebody to talk to. Who do you talk to if you have problems with K-Lite.

El Capitan / Windows 10

Please, somebody, try to reproduce the test I've outlined. I used Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with only DivX codec pack (primarily for it's MF MKV splitter) and AC3Filter to support DTS and for it's adjustable downmixing. I tested with Media Center and Player and XBOX360 extender. I used a mix of standard definition and high definition video (up to 1080p) and stereo and multi-channel audio including AC3 and DTS. I'm using the latest ATI Catalyst and Realtek HD Audio drivers. I have stereo output to my monitor speakers and 5.1 to my Logitech Z-5500 5.1 set. I connect VGA to the desktop monitor and HDMI to the TV.

Someone please give me examples of what won't play on this. FLVs? I couldn't care less. There's one to start with!
