Crash Tagging Music In Media Player 12

I searched for this issue and have a found a few references but nothing I try seems to fix the issue.

When I try to edit album info within media player 12 as soon as I hit finish or cancel media player crashes. Looking in the logs I have the following error:

Faulting application name: wmplayer.exe, version: 12.0.7600.16415, time stamp: 0x4a98ae4b
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bdb3b
Exception code: 0xc0000374
Fault offset: 0x000cdcbb
Faulting process id: 0x758
Faulting application start time: 0x01caf206db731b80
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
Report Id: 21788d40-5dfa-11df-9bc4-00248cd0e2a8

I am about to pull my hair out. I would do a clean install on the system but I really would prefer not to have to do that.

Any help would be awesome.

Welcome!

Try a system files check, and perhaps a repair install.

I did the sfc scan and no luck. I will try the repair I suppose. I will report back if that resolves it.

No luck. Did the SFC Scan and a upgrade install and still crashing when trying to edit tags in media player. Any thoughts?
