Looking for the best HD Media Player!

Title says it all, I have tried several different players without much success. I have a 32 inch HDTV with my Radeon HD 4870 plugged into the tv via hdmi. Any suggestions?

I would say yes but that really depends on what you mean by "enhance".

Media Player Classic with CoreAVC + ffdshow works great for HD rips, meaning 720p or 1080p MKV files encoded with x264. Is this what you mean, or are you talking about playing proper Blu-ray through your computer into your tv?

i ran ffdshow with media center on vista, and it worked great on my 26" monitor connected via HDMI. i have not tried those videos or ffdshow on 7 yet, but 7 does HDTV through MCE whereas vista does not, so im sure videos would work too.

^^ Agree with the above with the note that the 'Deluxe' version doesn't support Blu-ray. 'PowerDVD Ultra' does and version 9 comes highly recommended as the best HD/Blu-ray player out there. That is, until Orion get their act together...

I would also recommend Media Player Classic / BS Player / KM Player (BS Player installs the needed codecs automatically) :)

The kmplayer is free and imo is better than all those stated above. Not only does it support all formats but the features are second to non and skins come in abundance.
