    Windows Media 12 Stopped Working

    Hello,
I have issues with my Windows Media 12. I am running Windows 7 Professional and every time I try to play a video clip (whether it's AVI, or MPEG it doesn't really matter) Windows Media Player stops responding and has the Stopped Working notification that happens. Is there any fix for this? I have uninstalled and reinstalled via control panel many times and no success. Thanks.

Windows Media Player - Taskbar Toolbar

    Try this first.
Make sure your system is clean.
Run a scan with your AV and MBAM and then follow the tutorial.

O2K, it would help us a lot if we knew your system specs, and especially if you have any codec packs installed on your system.

Have you run this - SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
When you say you reboot and it uninstalls what exactly do you mean, do you mean it turns itself off again.
