    WMP music won't delete

So I deleted my music in my music folder but all my music info is still in WMP and I know the music is not there cause when I click on the tracks it says it can't find the songs. So I try to delete it from WMP and it won't do it. So how do I delete from WMP.

Since WMP 12 is part of the OS now it is no longer a simple fix depending on where you deleted the music from, if for instance you deleted it from my music under library's which is what i did a couple weeks ago ended in a clean install of os to fix it, if you deleted it in windows explorer c: / user / your name / my music you may have a chance, let us have a little more info maybe we can help.

    Hi derekimo

Sometimes that may work as i tried it to no avail, i tried many other things to clear the WMP library and nothing would work short of clean install of OS. There should be an easier way but i didn't find it

    You can try 2 things:
Right Click the bar on top ,just left of the PLAY tab, and choose

    Tools>Advanced>Restore media Library
This should clear the library, and works most of the time.

If it doesnt work, make sure "Show Hidden Files" is enabled then
    navigate to:
    C:/Users/ <User Name> / AppData/ Local / Microsoft

    Delete the folder Media Player.

Restart WMP and it will be empty.
