i"m guessing it's a point and shoot Olympus camera.
1) Can you view the "lost" images on the camera LCD screen?
2) Your memory card isn't full is it???
3) If you have another memory card put it in the camera and see what happens.
The 2 spares you should always have are charged batteries and another memory card.

Your Olympus, what model is it Rose? I'm asking because my C5050z takes 2 cards, one is a CF and the other is an Olympus xD card.

Rose this won't help find the lost photos but if you reformat the card in the camera (not connected to the computer) it might help clearing this problem in the future.

There are recovery programs that will find 'lost' images on a memory card like ZAR. Do this before you reformat the card.

Even if I see the photos that doesn't show on computer, I still have to reformart the card? Also, if I do wouldn't it lose all the pictures. I have NEVER reformart the card before. Never had the problem with windows 98. All the photos shown on there.

Yes Rose I wrote this back to front. Just a thought - if it is only the last two photos that don't appear take 2 'dummy' photos of anything and you should find your missing shots.

If that doesn't work download ZAR and use it to find all the images on the card. When you have them reformat. This will delete everything but should be done periodically.

I took a dummy photo yesterday and it didn't show up. I don't want to the photos to be delete it. Is there another way to do this?

Please list the folder hierarchy on the xD card. Are there any other DCIM or Olympus folders at all? Could the new pictures possibly be marked as hidden?
