    Thanks for the workaround Weboh!
It kinda do the trick but sincerely i am not that happy to have some fields darken
here and there and the writing still black which leads to a bad readability.
I'm not using any dark theme yet but i will consider to give them a try.
So...there is no other way on changing the program background except this trick?
I will sure prefer to change some registry to make this change only for this app.
Right, that only darkens the background color. You can change the text color from the same dialog and make it white or gray or whatever you want so that it's readable. You can go through all the other options in that window and make everything the color you want. It gives a live preview so you can know what you're doing.

Once you figure it out, I think you'll find it a lot easier (and safer!) than editing the registry. Plus, this way you won't have any white windows to make you blind. :)

Still...i an not that keen to alter the entire UI of the PC for the sake of the viewer background.
I use f.lux app for my nightly basis needs and is great.
Please tell me there is a way to darken the background of this app alone without affecting the rest of the PC UI

I use Flux too. It is great. It does a good job at making white not as glaring, but obviously not good enough. Lots of programs and websites have glaring white backgrounds. If that bothers you at night, why not get rid of them at night?

As far as I know, that's the only way to change the background. I suggest you try that for a night or two—you can easily undo it if you don't like it. If you do like it, you can save that as a theme and only switch to it at night and have it regular the rest of the time.

Thanks so much, this is great!
Is there any way you could add buttons on the bottom to speed up/slow down frame rate? Some gifs look really slow, and others too fast. It'd be great if I could just adjust the speed on the fly as I'm viewing the gifs in my gallery.
