Having an issue deleting things on WMP 12

I don't understand this. I will delete the folder and wipe it off my computer. And tell the media player to delete it but WMP 12 refuses to delete it even after the files are gone. The don't even exist. It's like it refuses to respond or even adknowledge my commands. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Manualy deleting libraries has caused the WMP library to become corrupt but there may still be a way of fixing it. Open WMP and highlight a song title, this should bring out a little blue circle with an exclamation point to the left of the title, right click this to get a submenu with the option to delete. After doing this to a few songs WMP should offer to clean the entire library.

the way it worked for me was to uninstall WMP then delete the library folders and re install it

Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8.1 Pro,

Instead of messing around with WMP or the music library folder just go into the Username>My music folder and add or delate your music files from there. It will update in WMP and the music Library.
