    VLC media player 1.0 RC released


    After several years in development and nearly 60 million downloads it looks like our favorite media player is finally nearing 1.0 status. That’s right; the first release candidate for VLC media player 1.0 is now up for grabs, offering a peek of what we should expect from the finalized version.

    Been updated to 1.0.0 RC2, can't seem to find a changelog though.

    I've been trying to achieve gapless FLAC playback with WMP12/MC and haven't had any luck. Does the VLC play back flac files without gaps between the tracks? If so, can VLC be accessed fro within Media Center, using a remote rather than keyboard/mouse?
