    Windows 7 Library Issues

My problem started when one day my library stopped adding new music i put in the Music folder.

I decided to delete the library and start again. This time the new music added as well. But many of the tags were missing and songs read as being 0 seconds despite being able to play them.

After removing WMP and reseting my library, i re installing WMP and updated the library. The same problem has happened again, except this time the files with 0 seconds are different to before.

This to me proves there is nothing wrong with the MP3s/tags (Explorer and other programs have no trouble reading the tags)

I must also point out that my media player folder (C:\Users\Xisuma\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player) grows to over a GB after adding all my music, is this normal?

Any thoughts on why WMP is not reading tags on MP3s? please leave a reply thanks.

The real WMP folder is in C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player. With a disk cleanup, you can probably get rid of the extras in Appdata.

Instead of adding the music files to the Libraries music folder try adding them to the Username>My music folder instead. They will still show up in your Music Library but you might notice that it works better that way.

They are on a different drive. And there isn't room on the C: drive for my music. However is there a way i can change the default location of that folder?
