Msn Live Messnenger Crash Modem

i have been trying to google this issue for over a month now knowone has a fix

when i connect to Windows live messenger my whole connection will drop and will not come back unless i unplug and power cycle. i have already went to my cable company and traded it for a the Motorola SB900 for the new Motorola SB901 this did not fix the issue. also would like to add i have uninstalled/reinstalled i have tried beta windows live messenger for windows 7 still same issue and as of 6 hrs ago i fully Formated my system. windows live messenger worked like a charm (tell windows updated) now is messed up again. i tried calling microsoft support (ROFL) and they think its my hardware.....but i have had this same hardware with windows vista 64 bit and i used the heck out of windows live messenger...i go out and buy windows 7 ulitimate 64 bit and pow issues.
