Not connected - No connections are available

This computer runs Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

I have a D-Link WDA-2320 Network Adapter that Device Manager says is working properly. Microsoft Compatibility Center says this card is compatible and a number of people who have this card have noted that it installed without a problem on Windows 7 64-bit. Before this, I tried unsuccessfully to use a Linksys 300N Adapter, which Microsoft Compatibility Center says is also compatible and which is working in another computer that has Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit.

I have a D-Link Rangebooster WBA-2300 Router. Four other wireless computers connect to it without any problems. Three run Windows XP and one runs Windows 2000.

This computer will connect with an Ethernet cable to a Linksys Wireless G Broadband Router, which has a PCMCIA Sierra Card. The other computers also recognize that as an available connection.

However, without the Ethernet cable connected, this computer says "Not connected - No connections are available."

I have removed the card, rebooted, and put it in a different slot. I checked WLAN in Services. I have done a substantial amount of searching for a solution on the Internet, including this forum.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

remove the software for the linksys and let windows do the connection.

Unfortunately, I started out without the software, then tried it with the software, then without again. Same, same, same. Windows recognizes the card and says it is working correctly, but I get the same message every time: "Not connected - No connections are available."

have you tried to configure the wireless connection manually instead of auto ??

first you have to know your router IP address it would be something like 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 you can get that from any other machine connected wirelessly already.
go to the search panel and type cmd and press ok then typ ipconfig and press ok and find your laptop IP.
with these 2 addresses you can put them in the wireless configuration instead of auto config.

I got from another computer that can access the router the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS Server data and entered the same data for the Adapter in this computer under Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IP v 4). Same result. (I also did that with changes in the last three numbers of the IP Address from 102 to 101 and 103.)

Also, when I use the Network and Sharing Center and click on Setup a new connection or network, Connect t the Internet, Wireless, I get "Not connected No connection available."

If I click on Manually connect to a wireless network, I get "An unexpected error occurred."

So, there are actually two network connections that are not visible to the adapter card.

I am going to switch cards with another computer that has been connecting to the Internet and get back to you.

I hope you aren't using both routers on the same network?

You will definately want to update the firmware on your D-Link Rangebooster WBA-2300 router in order to get the wireless to work with Windows 7. The problem is that I can't seem to find firmware for the WBA-2300, only the WPA-2310 shows support. Unless your from a different country?
