PC keeps Identifying network and not connecting to the internet, HELP!

Hi, I recently built a computer myself and decided to connect it to our internet, it connects to the wireless router but it keeps saying identifying the network and has a X between the network and internet. I tryed both wireless and wired.

Do I have to change any setting of the PC or router? (im using a D-link DIR-615 wireless router)

    Thanks.

    Hi amrit,

Did you check if you're Wireless Network is set to "Obtain an IP address automatically" ?
You can check that by going to: Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings > Right Click on "your wireless adapter" > Properties > Internet Protocol Version 4.
