wireless issue

    wireless issue


    i having some random dcs of no internet access after i upgraded my dell inspiron 1525 from vista to 7 and my wireless signal normally at 2 bars only not at 4 or 5

    i thot it could be my router (netgear WGR614v7 ) but im the only one having this problem at home on the wifi

    im leading upon the driver issues of the driver issues of vista to 7
    im currently using the lastest drivin of my wireless adaptor
    DEll wireless 1395 WLAN mini card with driver Broadcom 4.170.25.17 dated at 12/10/2007

    is there a way in fixing this?

    There is actually newer drivers available, Dell just doesn't always make them easy to find. Here is the link to the one I use for the exact same card: Drivers and Downloads

    You might want to run the installer in compatibility mode for Windows Vista SP2.

    i cant even seem to dl the file even tho i just clicked on the dl link, its downloads the installer manager then tells me i have no files selected to download o.o

    could it be already updated from my windows update??

    It shouldn't download an "installer manager". What browser are you using.

    i use chrome now but ocassionally firefox

    should i use ff or ie to dl it?

    i used ff to dl it and install it
    hope it works now, its at 4 bars and i dont get dced from games anymore
