Windows 7: Network connection dropping while downloading with utorrent?

Try limiting the number of connections, some routers can't handle the traffic and reset themselves to try and compensate. Connect the computer directly to the Modem without the router and if it works OK that will tell you it is the Router.

but I don't have a router..I only have this thompson modem which is connected through usb...so any ideas what I could do?

Try limiting the connections in Utorrent and see if that fixes the problem.

have you try uncheck "Enable uPNP port mapping" in uTorrent (under Preferences-Bandwidth).

UTorrent and dropping connection
Hi was wondering if anyone else had this problem Whenever i close UTorrent my wirless signal cuts out. 7 reports that there is no wireless card detected and i have to restart my pc to get it working again. Has anyone else had it and if so where you able to overcome it. TIA damoh
