    Laptops and networks

How is it my laptop with Windows 7, has no trouble connecting wirelessly with my network, is there an wireless adapter built into the motherboard or is it an installed card.
    Laptop is Acer 5720.

I need to find the answer so I can add it to a remote home-build PC, which despite trying two different wireless adapters that work with Vista, will not work with Win7.

I'd be happy to even change the motherboard if that will solve the problem.

According to the Acer spec site, my laptop has two possibilities, depending on the manufacture date, travelmate-5720301g16Mi,

    Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
Intel (R) Wireless 3945 ABG, mine has this one, according to Belarc Advisor, have ordered one from Amazon, fingers crossed.:)
