Win 7 confuses 2 FTP accounts on same server?

I’ve got two FTP accounts on one server accessed as follows:

    ftp://foo@ftp.abc.com password: snafu
    ftp://bar@ftp.abc.com password: xyz

I’ve mapped both locations using the Map Network Drive option but both shortcuts connect to the first account. I double checked the properties, each shortcut has the correct address. IE 7 and 8 were funny about this to; if I was connected to one account attempting to connect to the second would just open a second window into the account I was already logged into … to make it work in that situation I had to completely leave the first account, connect to the second, wipe the saved password and re-enter.

Dreamweaver and my dedicated FTP client software connect to these accounts properly with no particular fuss, I’m not sure why Win 7 can’t keep them separate. Unfortunately, my dedicated FTP client isn’t fully Win 7 compatible, it has drag/drop issues, and I certainly don’t want to fire up Dreamweaver every time I need to move a file back and forth. Does anyone have a suggestion … beyond upgrading my FTP client ;-)

Hello, and welcome to the Seven Forums!

Windows 7, to my knowledge, only lets you create one link to any given server. You should be able to switch back and forth between accounts on one server just by telling Windows 7 not to save the login info. That way, it will ask for it every time you access the server, allowing you to type in whichever account you want to use.
