Hmm..that would indicate a wireless issue. However, just restart your PC in Safe Mode with Networking, then ping and see if you still get spikes.

Is your Wirless network secured (WEP, WPA?)? If so, try disabling it then ping to your router from the PC- do you still get the spikes?

Also, you havent still told me whether the spikes occur at regular intervals or randomly.

Sorry, I can't really say if it's regular of randomly. I think it's a regular interval. When I ping, something nothing happens for a while, but then it's there again.

I will see if I can change the security on my router. But I didn't change anything in my router and XP had no problem with streaming.

I lowered my security from WPA2 to WPA TKIP (or something like that). When I ping now, it never goed above 1 and I ran it for 10 minutes and never got the high ping. If this really solves my problem, you are a big hero!!!

Well, the problem is still there... The high ping is gone and my internet connection is a bit faster, but still streaming is terrible. Gonna try some others things.

    Thank you for your advice!!!

Have you tried Pingtest.net - The Global Broadband Quality Test ?

This will give you an indication of how good your line is and what you should be able to do with it.

It'd still be interesting to see.

Also make sure all things related to streaming (browsers, media players, Flash, QT etc.) are up to date.

    Oli
