    Sharing folders with media players

    Hi

I have an Xtreamer media player which is connected to the my home network. Previously, I share my folders in order to stream the media from my Win7 Ult PC to my Xtreamer.

Unfortunately this is not working anymore. I tried to do many tweaks in my network but with no use. What is confusing me is that I am able to access the shared folder in the PC using my Win7 Ult laptop. Moreover, I can access the shared folders in the laptop from Xtreamer. Also, i can access Xtreamer from my PC using FTP. So there must be a problem with the way my folders are shared, assuming Xtreamer is running Linux.

I tried to disable my firewall (Comodo and Win Firewall) and Avast antivirus but with no use. I have rested and restarted both my PC, Xtreamer, and even the router.

    Anyone have suggestions?

    Thanx all.

I can suggest that you uninstall both Comodo and Avast because they are most likely causing this problem. :)

    thanx for your reply.

I truly doubt that this is the problem as my other laptop has the same security configuration without any problems.
