Firewall

It works now.
I opened a specific port in and out in advanced rules in the firewall and limited it to private and domain (no public). I am behind the NAT in the router. Have I created a problem?

Shields UP

OK I went to shields up and probed the ports. All ports showed in stealth mode. Everything seems to be OK. I am probably getting some help from the router.

Oh, I used an app (Magic Packet Sender) that I found through Bing. It is really small and light but does the Job.

Glad to see you have things working

I use the app I linked to because I like the other functions like remote shutdown and reboot - I know there's the shutdown command in win7 but find this better
