    Solved my problem


    I know it's ages since this thread was last posted to but I just had to say a great big thank you to BigSich - I had been struggling for ages to get my XP laptop to print via the printer shared on my W7 PC. His solution works not only for W7 > XP shared printer but the other way round too.

    I didn't know this forum existed but now that I do I will coming here first if I have any other problems. Thanks again.
