Windows 7 Wireless connections drop out
Hello again folks,
You may remember some time ago when I posted about having issues where the wireless connection on my windows 7 devices dropped out after a while. Well that problem went away after a rebuild of W7 on that particular box... but after another rebuild recently, the problem has come back.
I've succesfully identified the cause of it, but I do not know how to resolve the issue. Basically, if something large is being streamed to or from the PC in question (video files, for instance), then the wireless card will stop, it'll remain enabled and active according to the system but it cannot see ANY wireless networks until the PC is reset, troubleshooting insists that resetting the wireless adaptor will fix the problem, but it doesnt.
Now that's on a DWL-547 wireless card connecting to a 802.11n network. I've also seen this problem on another machine with a brand new USB wireless adaptor too, again, fresh build of W7.
In the 9 months since i first posted on this problem has anyone come up with a solution to this? I can't possibly be the only one experiencing this problem and i've successfully proven that it's _NOT_ a hardware fault. Something is wrong specifically with Windows 7's configuration/drivers/setup but i can't figure out what.
(I have done driver updates, rollbacks, complete uninstall/reinstalls, used vendor onces, etc... this appears to be a W7 specific problem)
