I don't have the router installed now, but when it was installed i typed 192.168.1.1 in chrome and choosed static ip and entered the dns adresses there, the LAN card was set to obtain ip adress automaticly, and it did recieve 192.168.1.101 from the router but the internet was still not working.

I'm not sure why you would be typing your default gateway into chrome? I see lots of conflicts here that confuse me.

Why aren't you using a router, then you say you are? You also mentioned using static IP for one thing then DHCP for the other?

You can customize your network all you want but if you start doing things like this the odds are that nothing will work right.

I suggest that you use a router and set it to use DHCP along with your network adaptors.

Okay, i might not have been all that explicit, sorry for my english and my lack of computer knowlege.
I have one modem from my ISP, from which i have a LAN cable into one of my LAN cards, with the same settings and the same card on my notebook the internet works fine while on the PC i get the Unidentified network message and i get no internet access. I have static ip's and only one cable so i use the PC and the notebook separately.

I bought the router today because i thought if i connected my pc through it the internet will work, but i doesen't. I used to have internet without any router and there was no problem. I am sorry you must have misunderstood i am using only static ip's.

I thought that was the way for a router to be configured, you type in it's ip in your browser and you set yor static ip's for the internet in there, i do not know any other way for it to be configured.

I have DHCP enabled please check the screen below, this one is with the router installed, the oter ipconfig was without it, just the cable.

Thank you!

So you just meant that you typed 192.168.1.1 into your browser to access your routers set up page, ok I get that part, sorry for the confusion.

That is fine however, you have manually set up both a static IP and DHCP on the same router, you also show a different default gateway for your static IP 86.125.124.1 and another for your DHCP 192.168.1.1.

If you really need to have a certain IP for one machine then you can use the DHCP reservation instead of static.

I'm also wondering how can you expect to have both of these PC's on the same network if you are using two different default gateways?

You are doing this the hard way but I'm not sure why? This configuration is not likely to work correctly.

Unless you have a really good reason for using static IP's and DHCP at the same time plus dual default gateway's I would go with one or the other, preferibly DHCP only and you have to use the same default gateway if you want to network those machines, accessing shares and so forth.

I can only recommend that you let your router use DHCP for this network "the easy way". You don't need to do much other than choose DHCP in the routers settings and also make sure DHCP is enabled in your IPv4 properties window for what ever network adaptor you are using.

I hate my ISP....
I typed in the MAC adress from my notebook into my router and now i have internet on my PC. I guess my stupid isp is alowing only one mac adress.
Thank you all for your help!

That doesn't sound quite right to me unless they have a one machine limit or something. You can also clone the mac address. I think I might reset the router and start from scratch using DHCP only because I think part of the problem might have been from using two different default gateways.

If use DHCP only i don't get any internet access, i must use static ip's. I had the MAC adress cloned to my PC and it didin't work, now i have set the MAC adress of my notebook and the internet works fine, i will contact my isp tomorrow and tell them about this.

That is strange indeed although even if using static IP's you would usually use the same default gateway if you want to network the machines.

As it stands, according to your last screen shot you had DHCP enabled but also had static IP info typed in as well, not to mention two completely different default gateways.

Maybe if you disabled DHCP it would help although I can't figure out why DHCP isn't working for you in the first place. Something is messed up here and it might be interesting to find out what it is.

Yes, i have the latest firmware, updated it just a couple oh hours ago. I guess the problem is from them, for allowing only one MAC adress to connect... a fried has told me he had a similar problem and he resolved it by calling the isp.
