    Laptop won't recognise home wifi

    Hi,

I have logged on to my laptop as usual and it didn't automatically connect to our home WiFi. When I troubleshooted the problem it said " Adapter 2 is broken".

Now, I don't know what this means but I have checked all wires, cables and plugs and nothing has worked. Can someone please help me as I have important coursework and am on a deadline

    Thanks

Maybe it is really broken and you need to repair it or buy a new one? Als you're not clear is this a laptop? Your specs say it's a desktop PC. Which one is it?

Sorry, it's a laptop. It was working fine in the morning and every other device is still connected to the wireless network. I don't exactly know what it means by saying the adapter is broken though.

    Thank you

Well then it means what it means. Your laptop wifi must be damaged of something.
This can be caused by high temps or extreme force, like dropping of the laptop.
Or it's just cheap and corrupted.
But you said you didn't do anything. If there wasn't high temps then maybe a driver update will solve the problem. If you have a disk from the laptop manufacturer, try to reinstall the Wifi driver from there. If not, search on the site of your laptop maker altough this will be problematic as you need to use another PC to download the drivers from the webpage.
